This highlighted square will be your play area after you embark you cannot directly act or see details outside of this area during your game. In the local map area is the highlighted embark area that you can move around with u m k h and resize with U M K H. Local shows all of the local embark tiles in the region tile indicated by the cursor on the region map.Region shows all of the region tiles in the part of the world indicated by the cursor on the world map.There are three maps: Local, Region, and World.
